В 1998 году Марк Чейз был удостоен Медали Линнея.

В 2008 году Чейз стал одним из тринадцати учёных, которые были удостоены Медали Дарвина-Уолласа русск., вручаемой один раз в пятьдесят лет Лондонским королевским обществом.
